2008 Legend 4.7
From WIND Magazine:
Designed by Barry Spanier and Kevin Pritchard, the third generation of Mauisails Legend has a monofilm panel in the middle and serious reinforcements on sensitive points.
On this superb 4.7, we find all the basic accessories (triple pulleys, Allen Key batten tensioner, Tack strap etc). Compared to the 07 Legend, the draft has been moved forward. It is also more locked in and gives a similar feeling to the Naish Session with a more forward draft and softer leech.
The Legend is a very well balanced sail that does not give too sensitive backend pressure. The power/manoeuvrability ratio in all conditions is EXCELLENT.
We also appreciate a very reactive sail that accelerates well, easy to pass the peak or sail back upwind and go high in jumps! Surfing, it stays very neutral and never feels annoying. This is not the lightest but does not affect its performance. Stability has improved in high winds, it is easy to handle in the gusts.
To sum up, stable, reactive, manoeuvrable and easy to keep neutral. This is an excellent surprise that improves a lot in efficiency, range of use and versatility in 2008.
+: Efficiency, reactivity, manoeuvrability, stability and versatility
